PACIFIC OCEAN (May 12, 2022) – Cmdr. Edelio Joloya, supply officer, gives a supply chain presentation to students from University of California, San Diego aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), May 12, 2022. Students from University of California, San Diego visited Makin Island to learn about supply chain management and logistics of a warship. Naval supply officers direct the ordering of tools, parts, materials and food aboard Navy ships to keep the ship and Sailors mission ready.
