The crew of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG 121) runs to the ship after being given the order to man the ship and bring her to life during the commissioning ceremony in Charleston, S.C. May 14, 2022. The ship is named in honor of the Marine Corps lieutenant general who was the first African-American Marine Corps aviator and Marine Corps general officer.
