Hull Technician Fireman Ian Bear uses a needle gun to remove old non-skid from the deck aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44). Gunston Hall, with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
