A veteran from Kentucky’s Disabled American Veterans pay their respect to Cpl. Donald L. Menken, a U.S. Army Korean War casualty who served in Company K, 3rd Battalion., 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, at the First Baptist Church in Ermine, Kentucky, May 14, 2022. Menken was reported missing in action after being wounded by artillery fire while guarding Outpost Harry on June 10, 1953, on a road to Seoul, Republic of Korea, in what is now the Demilitarized Zone and his remains were unaccounted for until Feb. 2, 2022, and then repatriated to the place Menken called home.
