AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Army National Guard Soldiers with the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 36th Infantry Division, practiced the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT 4.0) May 13, 2022, at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. The new ACFT 4.0 is scheduled to start for record testing in Spring 2023 for Texas Army National Guard Soldiers. The newest changes to the test are the gender and age specific scoring, and replacing the leg tuck with the plank. After several years of testing, analyzing and adjusting, the ACFT 4.0 is a more comprehensive test of a Soldier’s fitness and capabilities to perform their duties to the Army standard. (Photo by Sgt.
