Maj. Gen. Stephen R. Lanza, commanding general of the 7th Infantry Division, talks to local reporters Oct. 10 during a press briefing. Following the briefing, Lanza, alongside Command Sgt. Maj. Delbert D. Byers, 7th Inf. Div. command sergeant major, uncased the division's colors during a reactivation ceremony at Watkins Parade Field, Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Lanza said he was honored to have been chosen to command the division, which was last inactived at Fort Carson, Colo., in 2006.
