Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Ian Gabriel gives a safety brief to sailors on station aboard the guided-missile frigate USS Vandegrift before a replenishment-at-sea with the dry cargo ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4). During the RAS, Vandegrift took on more than 90,000 gallons of fuel and 35,000 pounds of food, mail and ship's parts and supplies.
