Staff Sgt. Alexander Abel, the company gunnery sergeant with Engineer Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, demonstrates methods for handling assault rifles in a combat environment during the unit’s pre-deployment training aboard Camp Devil Dog, N.C., Oct. 11, 2012. Abel participated in shooting competitions and used the training as an opportunity to pass on some of his knowledge to the Marines with Engineer Co. as they practiced the various aspects of combat marksmanship.
