    PACIFIC OCEAN (May 18, 2022) Damage Controlman Fireman — Champion, from Houston, prepares a desmoking fan for damage control training aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69). USS Milius is assigned to Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th fleet’s principal surface force. Milius is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
