A C-17 Globemaster lll aircraft assigned to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, prepares to depart from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, with 132 pallets of Nestle’s Alfamino®️ Infant and Alfamino®️ Junior formula, May 22, 2022. The infant formula arrived from Switzerland as part of the U.S. Government’s Operation Fly Formula to rapidly transport infant formula to the United States due to critical shortages there. These formulas have been prioritized because they serve a critical medical purpose and are in short supply in the United States because of the Abbott Sturgis plant closure.
