The former U.S. Army Transport LT-5, a large tugboat originally named the “Major Elisha K. Henson” sits docked at the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego, New York, May 12, 2022. The LT-5 – now a National Historic Landmark – was built in 1943 in Oyster Bay, New York, served in the European Theater of WWII, was transferred to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District in 1946 and renamed the Nash, and was laid up and excessed to the museum in Spring 1989.
