Recruits with Papa Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, complete swim qualifications aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. May 23, 2022.
To pass swim qualification, recruits must complete a 25 meter swim, high dive, tread water, pack swim, and shed gear each with certain time constraints. Recruits who are unable to complete the qualifications are marked as “Iron Ducks” and receive remedial swim lessons.
