A ceremonial rider from the Midland County Sheriff's Office Mounted Patrol holds the U. S flag while being framed by other flags to include the Texas and U.S. Customs and Border Protection during the solemn ceremony held by the Big Bend Area Law Enforcement Officers Association at the memorial to fallen officers within the region on May 25, 2022, on the campus of Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. All three components of U.S. Customs and Border Protection were represented by Border Patrol, Office of Field Operations and Air and Marine Operations.
