Steven Borcherding, 176th Maintenance Squadron aero repair, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kyle Lawrie, 3rd Maintenance Squadron aero repair, Alaska Army National Guard Spc. Zach Cherry, 1st Battalion, 207th Aviation Regiment warrant officer candidate, and Borcherding’s father, Steven Senior, helped evacuate the aircraft’s two occupants to safety before the incoming tide rose.
