Calibration of the Mach 18 system was completed at Tunnel 9 in July 2020. The system checked out, allowing Tunnel 9 to begin offering Mach 18 testing to customers. The first customer runs at Mach 18 occurred in August 2020. The expansion to Mach 18 is among a number of accomplishments and milestones that have occurred at Tunnel 9. On April 11, the Tunnel 9 test crew executed the 5,000th run at the facility. (U.S. Air Force photo by A.J. Spicer) (This image has been altered by obscuring badges for security purposes.)
