U.S. Army Gen. James Dickinson, U.S. Space Command commander, greets The Honorable Susanna V. Blume, Office of the Secretary of Defense, director of the Office of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE), during a visit, May 23, 2022, at USSPACECOM headquarters. Officials from CAPE received mission briefs from USSPACECOM directorates showing mission capabilities, threats to the space domain, strategic partnerships and global space operations. USSPACECOM is the 11th joint combatant command and works closely with government organizations including the Department of State, Department of Commerce and NASA to ensure space infrastructure is resilient and capable of delivering cutting-edge services to the world.
