The final C-130-J30, assigned to the 130th Airlift Wing, taxis after landing at McLaughlin Air National Guard Base, W.Va., May 26, 2022. In November 2020, the U.S. Air Force chose the 130th AW to convert its eight C-130H model aircraft, which we had operated for over 25 years, to a C-130-J30 airframe. At the beginning of 2021, the unit sent the H models to different bases throughout the nation and began to receive the J models. The final H model left in August 2021.
