Color Guards render a salute during the National anthem of the United States of America and French National Anthem, La Marseillaise, June 2, 2022, during the 2nd Armored Division Plaque Dedication Ceremony, at Mairie de Carentan-les-Marais, Carentan, France. Soldiers stand in formation to honor the Flag and Unit colors. In June 1944, the 101st Airborne liberated Carentan which the German army resisted and the 2nd Armored Division made it possible to win the fight; This essential feat of arms was honored on Thursday, June 2, 2022, by the inauguration of a plaque at the Signal monument.
