Lt. Col. Melissa Tennant, incoming 39th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron commander, renders her first salute to the squadron during the change of command ceremony at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, June 1, 2022. During the ceremony, Col. Christopher Kelly, relinquished command to Col. Bradley Weast, 39th Medical Group commander, who then charged Tennant with leading the squadron. The change of command ceremony is a long-standing military tradition that represents the formal transfer of responsibility from one officer to another.
