Army Master Sgt. James L. Quong, 30, of Norman, Oklahoma, killed during the Korean War, was laid to rest June 2, 2022, at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Quong had been an Army Reserve captain in World War II but gave up his commission to join the Regular Army as a master sergeant in the Korean War in order to be closer to and more involved with his men. Quong’s funeral was attended by his daughter, Suzanne, and numerous family members.
