Lance Cpl. Kirk Anderson, 21, from Dubuque, Iowa, a combat engineer with 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, guides a tractor for a bridge building exercise at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 12. The bridge is being constructed for a 7th ESB field exercise. The bridge can be completely constructed from materials purchased in Afghanistan, which is an advantage over equipment manufactured and sent from overseas.
