U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Shawn Carns, I Corps' senior enlisted advisor, (right) speaks with Sgt. First Class Melissa Jenkins, a Platoon Sergeant assigned to 241st Quarter Master Company, 725th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 11th Airborne Division, during a visit to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson June 7th, 2022.
During his visit CSM Carns witnessed how riggers prepare, repair, and inspect T-11 Parachutes.
Carns took time to see how the Spartan Brigade plans to enact the Army's Arctic Strategy, which seeks to continually improve its Arctic capabilities by training and equipping forces to operate in extreme cold, high altitude and latitude, while conducting exercises in variable weather conditions.
