CARIBBEAN SEA - (May 29, 2022) -- Engineman 1st Class Charlie Bouton, left, from Greensboro, N.C., and a member of U.S. Coast Guard Tactical Law Enforcement Team South, input GPS coordinates on the 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) while underway in the Caribbean Sea with Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Billings (LCS 15), May 29, 2022. This exercise employs the U.S. Coast Guard Deployable Special Force’s Adaptive Force Package (AFP), which combines different DSF units to meet multi-faceted missions. In this case, the TACLET South members are augmented by personnel from Maritime Safety and Security Team (MSST) Cape Cod (in blue) to perform the surface asset instruction. Billings is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations to support Joint Interagency Task Force South’s mission, which includes counter-illicit drug trafficking missions in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
