BALTIC SEA (June 09, 2022) Landing Craft Utility 1662, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 2, unloads a Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, onto the shore of Gotland Island, Sweden during BALTOPS 22, June 9, 2022. BALTOPS 22 is the premier maritime-focused in the Baltic Region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen the combined response capability critical to preserving the freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
