Michael Frimpong, a Fort Drum teen and Indian River High School senior, was named New York State Military Youth of the Year for the second year in a row. In two weeks, he will travel to New York City to compete in the Northeast Regional Youth of the Year Competition. Established in 1947, the Youth of the Year is the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s premier youth leadership and teen recognition program.
