Sgt. Michael Toro, a carpenter assigned to 1st Platoon, 220th Engineer Construction Company, Missouri Army National Guard, holds lumber in position while Spc. Kage Fernald secures it to a structure during annual training at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa, on June 12, 2022. Using a lift and tied off with safety harnesses, the Soldiers worked in the heat to complete a shelter for the Iowa Counter Drug Task Force and Iowa Law Enforcement Academy on post. The shelter was one of four construction projects the 220th ECC completed at Camp Dodge in collaboration with the Iowa National Guard’s Construction and Facilities Management Office.
