The 112th Field Artillery Regiment is a Field Artillery Branch regiment of the New Jersey Army National Guard. They are on the Fort Dix Range Complex during an In-Direct Fire Training from the AFP 9 (Artillery Firing Point). A howitzer is a long-ranged weapon, falling between a cannon or also known as artillery gun, which fires shells at flat trajectories, and a mortar, which fires at high angles of ascent and descent.
