Master Sgt. Trevor Kuhns, 22nd Air Refueling Wing Agile Combat Employment team lead, extracts the remaining jet fuel in the lines to prevent fuel spillage during a test of a new fueling concept June 7, 2022, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. In support of the ACE initiative, the test involved sending gas from the tanker to the truck and could possibly open up the door for extensive future refueling operations. The McConnell aircrew and maintenance personnel visited with their counterparts to showcase KC-46A Pegasus capabilities for fuels servicing, cargo, and aeromedical evacuation.
