A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53 Sea Stallion with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, refuels a Japan Self-Defense Force V-22 Osprey during rehearsals for a capabilities demonstration, as part of Pacific Amphibious Leaders Symposium 2022, Camp Kisarazu, Japan, June 15, 2022. PALS consisted of presentations and demonstrations which were conducted in effort to promote regional security and enhance operational concepts and capabilities. The 2022 symposium brought together senior leaders from 18 participating delegations who are committed to a free and open Indo-Pacific, with the objective of strengthening and developing regional relationships.
