U.S. Army Air Forces retired Capt. Robert “Bob” Wolff, World War II and 100th Bomb Group veteran, shares some war stories about his time stationed at Thorpe Abbotts, England, in 1943, during a video interview May 19, 2022. Wolff was a B-17 Flying Fortress pilot and leader of a crew known as the “Wolff Pack.” In August 1943, after a bombing mission over Regensburg, Germany, he and his crew ended up as prisoners of war after their aircraft was damaged and had to crash land.
