Metheny and his crew support Arkansas National Guard units participating in annual training by checking units' locations, training areas, firing ranges, and for potentially hazardous areas; the information gathered is then cross-referenced with their area maps. By conducting these daily flights, the crew can stay prepared to aid during natural disasters or instances where individuals are injured in rural, hard-to-reach areas.
