Lance Corporal Vincent Perez, a machine gunner serving with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, fires his M240G machine gun at role players acting as insurgents at the Infantry Immersion Trainer here, Oct. 11, 2012. Perez, a 21-year-old native of San Jose, Calif., suppressed the enemy with machine gun fire allowing his team to drag a simulated wounded Marine to safety. The training is part of Bravo Company’s ongoing preparation for deployment with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit next year.
