Personnel from PEO STRI’s Product Manager Medical Simulation team played a key role in the April 21 regional mass casualty emergency drill in Orlando. Working under the direction of the Central Florida Medical Disaster Coalition and alongside city and county fire and emergency response personnel, hospital employees and non-government agencies, PEO STRI medical simulation personnel operated medium and high fidelity medical patient simulators to help create casualties for the large scale exercise. This type of collaboration and training with local government agencies and health care professionals is critical to supporting actual emergencies in the local area as part of the Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission.
