Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Summer Solstice Ceremony

220620-N-ML137-1061 KEKAHA, HI (June 20, 2022) Kaulana Mossman, of the Kilauano family and lineal descendant of west Kaua`i, dances hula during a Ka Mauiki`iki`i O Ke Kauwela (summer solstice) event at Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands. The ceremony is held the day after the annual repatriation of pre-Western contact remains into the permanent home of the Lua Kupapa`u O Nohili crypt at PMRF and honors the ancestors of these families. PMRF is the world’s largest instrumented multi-environment range capable of supporting surface, subsurface, air and space operations simultaneously.
