PACIFIC OCEAN (June 23, 2022) – Sailors and their families and friends observe a Landing Craft, Air Cushion from the flight deck as it embarks the ship during a family day cruise aboard amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Friends and family members were invited aboard Anchorage to experience a day in the life of a Sailor at sea first-hand. Anchorage is currently home ported in San Diego as part of Amphibious Squadron SEVEN, along with USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) and USS Makin Island (LHD 8).
