Spc. Jason Bahr, a combat medic for the 208th Area Support Medical Company, applies pressure to a patient’s back to release fascia pain during the hands-on-pre-assessment portion of the physical therapy medical extender class, May 5, 2022, at Al Asad Air base, Iraq. The medical extender program enables combat medics in the Combined Joint area of operations to learn and develop skills in physical therapy which will expand service member access to physical therapy care, helping recover the force faster. The 208th MCAS is deployed to Combined Joint Task Force- Operation Inherent Resolve as part of Task Force Med.
