U.S. Marine Corps Col. Michael C. McCarthy, former commanding officer of Marine Air Control Group (MACG) 28, is awarded the Legion of Merit by Maj. Gen. Michael Cederholm, commanding general of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, during a change of command ceremony for MACG-28 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, June 23, 2022. The ceremony represented a transfer of responsibility and authority from McCarthy to Col. Brian D. Mclean.
