    New York Air National Guard Airmen who were part of the 2017 mission to save two crewmen on board the Motor Vessel Tamar pose with a painting commemorating the mission during an awards ceremony on June 4, 2022 at F.S. Gabreski Air National Guard Base in Westhampton Beach, New York. On April 24, 2017, the pararescue Airmen and Combat Rescue Officers jumped into the Atlantic Ocean at night to board the ship and perform emergency surgery to save two badly burned sailors.
