The air-to-ground attack was coordinated by joint terminal attack controllers assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps during Exercise Gunslinger. Smoky Hill ANG Range is the largest and busiest weapons range in the Air National Guard. With hundreds of targets, thousands of acres, and multiple threat emitters, the range is managed by approximately 25 people assigned to Detachment 1, 184th Wing.
