Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle M. Outlaw shares a light moment with members of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 111th Attack Wing before a hoagie making competition during WaWa Hoagie Day at Independence Mall in Philadelphia on January 29, 2022. The Philadelphia Police lost the trophy this year to the Philadelphia firefighters, but the 111th Attack Wing defeated a team from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard to bring the trophy home to Biddle ANG Base in Horsham, Pennsylvania. The annual charitable event honors our nation’s men and women in uniform and local first responders for their service to community and country and charitable donations are made to the United Services Organization and other charities designated by the local first responders.
