Fred Goldhammer, commanding officer of the U.S. Navy’s only forward deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), rides in a rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) during small boat operations. Ronald Reagan’s RHIB team provides a platform for search and rescue operations as well as maritime interdiction evolutions.
