Vice Adm. Sean Buck, the U.S. Naval Academy Superintendent, receives a brief on the in-processing procedure at Alumni Hall in Annapolis, Maryland, June 29, 2022. U.S. Naval Academy in-processing began today for midshipman candidates for the Class of 2026 who came directly from the fleet, attended the U.S. Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS), or are international students. The NAPS and prior-enlisted midshipmen candidates provide midshipmen candidates mentorship and guidance to their classmates during Plebe Summer, the demanding six-week indoctrination period intended to transition the candidates from civilian to military life.
