Recently retired Military Working Dog Rex was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal today in a ceremony held on board NAS Lemoore.
The award was presented by NAS Lemoore Commanding Officer CAPT Douglas M. Peterson.
Rex was assigned to NAS Lemoore Security Detachment from November 2018 to January 2022, and during that time, he inspected more than 12,000 vehicles, 850 buildings, 676 warehouses and 125 hangars. He was also hand-selected to serve and protect in 15 U.S. Secret Service missions for the President and Vice President of the United States.
