Training Center Cape May, N.J., hosts a Independence Day Sunset Parade, July 3, 2022, in honor of the 102nd anniversary of the establishment of the chief petty officer rank. The training center is the home of the Coast Guard's enlisted corps -- it is our nations only Coast Guard enlisted accession point and recruit training center. Led by our chief petty officers nearly 3,000 of America's finest young men and women arrive each year for the first chapter of their Coast Guard career.
