Students and faculty from the Onslow County Schools Career and Technical Education “Summer Accelerator” Program visited NMCCL several times throughout the month of June.
NMCCL’s STEM Coordinator Lieutenant Adam Rondina arranged for the students to tour different areas of the Medical Center to help align program initiatives with their visit. The CTE program focuses on introduction of trades to rising eighth-grade students in fields for construction, health sciences, food, hospitality and agriculture. Students received hands-on demonstrations and discussions with staff from our laboratory, trauma and physical therapy departments.
