EAST CHINA SEA (July 6, 2022) Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Asahi-class destroyer JS Asahi (DD-119) of the conducts a live-fire gunnery exercise with Royal Australian Navy Anzac-class frigate HMAS Parramatta (FFH-154) and Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105). Dewey is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
