Lt. Gen. Richard W. Scobee (left), Chief of the Air Force Reserve and Commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, was presented a personal sword during the official Air Force Order of the Sword ceremony held in Washington, D.C., July 12, 2022. The sword is a symbol of truth, justice, and righteous power, and serves as a token for all to see the recipient as a leader among leaders. The Order of the Sword is the highest honor and tribute noncommissioned officers can bestow upon an individual. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Matthew Matlock)
