U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Sean N. Day, commanding general of Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, left, awards a Legion of Merit to Col. Brian R. Miller, the outgoing commanding officer of Deployment Processing Command (DPC) Reserve Support Unit (RSU)-East, during a change of command ceremony on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, July 15, 2022. During the ceremony, Col. Armando A. Freire assumed command of DPC/RSU-East from Miller. DPC/RSU-East is a critical enabler to get Reserve Marines and units deployed by providing support to non-mobilized Reserve Component unit training, conducting Individual Augment deployment/redeployment processing, and supporting activated Reserve units/detachments while aboard Camp Lejeune in order to support total force integration during mobilization.
