Col. Vincent Myers, the BACH Commander, and Col. Andrew Jordan, the Fort Campbell Garrison Commander, joined Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, and presented both Fort Campbell and Montgomery County Emergency Services with awards. The Fort Campbell EMS received the Civilian Service Commendation Medal and the Montgomery County Emergency Service workers received the Public Service Commendation Medal, recognizing them for assistance during recent events and for their continued partnership with the Fort Campbell community.
"We have a lot of resources on Fort Campbell, but we don't have everything we need, so we rely on partnerships with our local community, especially when it comes to fire [services] and EMS," said Jordan, "and some of our local communities rely on us ... it's reciprocal."
