220718-N-NA571-1421 NAVAL AMPHIBIOUS BASE CORONADO, Calif. (July 18, 2022) A floating causeway comprised of Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS) craft, attached to Amphibious Construction Battalion 1 (ACB 1), approaches the landing zone on the beach for floating causeway training operations in waters near Naval Base Coronado, July 18, 2022. Floating causeway is the combined utilization of INLS craft to create a temporary floating pier to provide logistical support to an area of operations.
